The sulphur spring of Taptapani is placed right on the top of a hill.

CHILKA LAKE: The biggest salty lake Chilika located is about forty five kilometers from Gopalpur on sea.The lake has spread over the land of 1100 square kilometers and the place is capturing various plenty migratory birds very year.

DHAVALESWAR: It is a beautiful beach destination located at the distance of 15 km away from Gopalpur. It is famous for widespread golden beaches and the sand bleached Temple of Lord Shiva. Hundreds of devotees are assembled on this day to offer milk, water and marijuana to the God on the day, which is believed to be the auspicious day of his marriage with Goddess Parvati.

Best seasons: The period between December and January is the best time to visit Gopalpur on-sea as during this time a famous and interesting beach festival is held here.

Rail: Nearest station is Berhampur(16kms) on S.E Railway. Lots of first trains are available in Howrah-Chennai route. The station Berhampur is located 608 Km from Howrah and 1069 Km from Chenni.

Road: Gopalpur is well connected by excellent all weather road which branches off from NH 5 on the outskirts of Berhampur. Regular bus services are available. Taxis and Auto rickshaw are also available.
